Formerly a rustic shrimping port on Galveston Bay, the Kemah Boardwalk features trendy shops, restaurants overlooking the water, and child-friendly amusement rides such as a carousel and a Ferris wheel. One of the restaurants, appropriately named Aquarium, features floor-to-ceiling aquarium tanks filled with exotic marine life from around the globe.
